As the Director of Future Technologies, you will lead a cross-functional team in analyzing global trends, predicting market shifts, and developing a comprehensive technology vision that positions Lumina as a market leader well before 2026. This is a high-impact role for a leader who thrives on ambiguity and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Architect the 2026 Technology Vision: Define and communicate a long-term strategic roadmap that aligns emerging tech trends with business objectives.
- Future Trend Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on PESTLE factors and emerging tech stacks (AI, Blockchain, Spatial Computing) to forecast industry disruptions.
- R&D Leadership: Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and pilot programs for groundbreaking technologies, ensuring scalable implementation.
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and vet key partners, startups, and academic institutions driving the future of tech.
- Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor technology roadmaps to ensure Lumina maintains a significant competitive advantage.
- Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performance team of futurists, data scientists, and strategic analysts.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterās degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in technology leadership, strategy, or consulting, with at least 5 years in a C-suite or VP-level role.
- Trend Forecasting: Proven track record of successfully identifying and leveraging emerging technologies (e.g., AI, Quantum, Metaverse) for business growth.
- Strategic Thinking: Exceptional ability to translate complex future trends into actionable business strategies and KPIs.
- Communication: Superior ability to articulate complex technical visions to diverse stakeholders, including C-Suite executives.
- Innovation Mindset: A deep curiosity for the future and a history of driving innovation within a corporate environment.
