Responsibilities
- Assist in Data Collection: Gather, clean, and organize data from various internal and external sources using Excel and basic SQL queries.
- Support Analysis: Help the team perform basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
- Create Visualizations: Use tools like Tableau or Power BI to create clear, understandable charts and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of data sources, methodologies, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
- Market Research: Conduct preliminary research to support competitive analysis and market trend reports.
- Report Generation: Assist in drafting weekly and monthly progress reports for the management team.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field (rising Junior or Senior preferred).
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required. Familiarity with SQL or Python is a plus but not mandatory.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors in data and ensure high-quality output.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings clearly.
- Attitude: Eager to learn, adaptable, and a proactive problem solver.
- Availability: Ability to work 20-30 hours per week during the Summer/Fall semester.
