Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, AGI, neural interfaces) to develop 5-year strategic roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional workshops to ideate and prototype next-gen products
- Partner with policy advisors to shape tech governance frameworks for 2026
- Author whitepapers on societal impacts of disruptive technologies
- Identify and nurture strategic partnerships with academic institutions and startups
- Present future-vision briefings to C-suite and board members
- Manage $2M+ innovation budget for prototyping and pilot programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic tech planning with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Proven track record of launching future-focused initiatives (quantum, AI, or biotech)
- Deep understanding of tech convergence patterns and exponential growth curves
- Expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Strong network within DARPA, IEEE, or similar innovation ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or major industry conferences
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python, Rust, or similar)
