Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 5-year technology strategy aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead discovery initiatives in AI, quantum computing, and sustainable tech
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D funding through compelling business cases
- Manage portfolio of 15+ experimental projects from prototype to pilot
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and global tech labs
- Present innovation roadmaps to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor a team of 8+ researchers and technology architects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record launching at least 3 breakthrough products
- Expertise in emerging tech: generative AI, quantum algorithms, or synthetic biology
- Strong financial modeling skills for tech ROI assessment
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published research in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier journals
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) or VC funding
- Proficiency in strategic planning tools (Aha!, Lucidchart, Miro)
