Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, AR/VR) and assess commercial viability
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and pilot programs for breakthrough innovations
- Establish strategic partnerships with universities, startups, and research labs
- Present technology insights to C-suite and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Manage innovation budget and ROI analysis for experimental projects
- Monitor ethical implications and regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, sustainable tech, or immersive experiences
- Strong analytical skills with ability to forecast tech trends using market research and data modeling
- Experience managing $1M+ innovation budgets and cross-functional teams
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with tech specialization
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in technology innovation or strategy
