Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in emerging tech domains (quantum, AR/VR, bioinformatics)
- Conduct scenario planning for technological black swan events and regulatory shifts
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Drive adoption of sustainable tech practices across product development
- Mentor junior strategists in future-tech methodology and foresight techniques
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in tech strategy or R&D leadership with 3+ years in future-tech planning
- Proven track record in launching at least two emerging tech products
- Deep expertise in AI/ML, blockchain, or quantum computing ecosystems
- Strong analytical skills with ability to model complex technological adoption curves
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Portfolio demonstrating future-tech impact assessment projects
