Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal trends with 5-10 year impact
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with 2026 market projections and organizational goals
- Conduct scenario planning workshops to prepare for alternative futures and build organizational resilience
- Partner with product teams to integrate foresight insights into R&D pipelines and go-to-market strategies
- Author thought leadership publications and present future outlooks to executive stakeholders and industry forums
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and domain experts
- Quantify innovation ROI through predictive modeling and opportunity assessment frameworks
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in strategic innovation, trend analysis, or futurism roles within tech-forward organizations
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, synthetic biology) and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills to translate complex futures into compelling narratives for diverse audiences
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and predictive modeling techniques
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work, innovation frameworks, or scenario planning projects
- Global mindset with experience cross-pollinating insights across cultural and industry boundaries
