Responsibilities
- Monitor system alerts, performance metrics, and server health logs during night shift hours to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Perform routine hardware diagnostics, software installations, and patch management for workstations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical issues submitted by internal staff.
- Update technical documentation and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) to reflect resolved issues.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches and routers.
- Collaborate with the Day Shift team to hand over critical issues and pending tasks.
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with company IT policies.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Must be eligible to receive college credit for this internship (unofficial transcript required).
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, Windows Server, and Active Directory concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Proactive attitude and a desire to learn new technologies.
