Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Monitor server health, network traffic, and application performance during night shifts to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Troubleshooting: Assist the IT support team in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems reported by internal staff.
- Data Management: Perform data entry, backup verification, and system updates to ensure data integrity and security.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of technical issues, resolutions, and system changes in the company knowledge base.
- Help Desk Support: Provide technical assistance to employees via phone or ticketing systems during off-peak hours.
- Asset Management: Assist in the inventory tracking and basic maintenance of IT assets within the office.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM) and commit to a Summer or Fall start date.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking concepts.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
