Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain internal IT systems, networks, and databases during evening shifts to ensure 24/7 operational continuity.
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to internal employees via ticketing systems and remote tools.
- Analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify trends and resolve potential issues before they impact operations.
- Assist in the documentation of night shift procedures, standard operating manuals, and technical assets.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to hand off critical tickets and ensure seamless workflow transitions.
- Perform routine software updates, security patches, and hardware troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Must be eligible to receive College Credit for the internship.
- Ability to commit to a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM).
- Strong understanding of basic computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
