Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts during night shift operations using SIEM tools
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing on client networks
- Document incident reports and security protocols in compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on threat intelligence analysis
- Assist in developing automated scripts for security monitoring tasks
- Participate in emergency response simulations and real-time threat mitigation
- Complete weekly training modules on emerging cybersecurity trends
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related program
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows command-line interfaces
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for night shifts
- Availability for 3-4 nights per week (20-32 hours)
- Summer/Fall 2024 start date required
