Are you a driven student looking to gain hands-on technical experience while earning college credit? Apex Data Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Night Shift Intern to join our operations team in Miami, Florida.
As a critical part of our 24/7 infrastructure, you will assist in maintaining system uptime and resolving technical tickets during our peak operational hours. This is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot internal systems, databases, and network infrastructure during night shift hours.
- Respond to and resolve Level 1-2 technical support tickets submitted by internal staff.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the ticketing system to ensure knowledge base growth.
- Collaborate with the day-shift engineering team to coordinate handovers and critical alerts.
- Perform routine system health checks and security patches to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of workstations and peripherals for new hires.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Must be eligible to receive college credit for this internship.
- Availability to work Night Shifts (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) on a full-time basis (20-30 hours/week).
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking basics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
