Responsibilities
- Assist in deploying and monitoring security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and SIEM platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under supervision
- Document security protocols and incident response procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud migration projects (AWS/Azure)
- Participate in threat intelligence analysis and security audits
- Develop automation scripts for security monitoring tasks
- Present findings to senior engineers during team reviews
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows/Linux) and virtualization
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work 40 hours/week during summer semester
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
