Apex Digital Solutions is currently seeking a Paid Night Shift IT Support Intern to join our team in Los Angeles. We are looking for motivated individuals who are available to start in the Summer or Fall of 2024 and are comfortable working the night shift.
As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in technical support, network administration, and customer service. You will work closely with our senior engineering team to ensure our clients receive top-tier service around the clock. Responsibilities
- Tier 1 & 2 Technical Support: Assist end-users with hardware and software troubleshooting via phone, email, and remote access tools.
- Ticket Management: Log, track, and prioritize incoming support tickets in our ticketing system (Zendesk/ServiceNow) with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine system checks, software updates, and patch management during off-peak hours to minimize downtime.
- Network Assistance: Monitor network performance and assist in diagnosing connectivity issues across various office locations.
- Hardware Setup: Assemble and configure new workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices for incoming staff members.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues and resolutions to improve our knowledge base.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (rising Junior or Senior preferred).
- Availability: Must be available to work Night Shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Windows and Mac operating systems, networking concepts, and remote desktop software.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently under pressure.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is a plus for occasional on-site support needs.
