Responsibilities
- Conduct legislative research and draft policy memos for congressional staff
- Monitor congressional hearings and committee markups for key developments
- Assist in organizing stakeholder briefings and advocacy events on Capitol Hill
- Analyze federal agency regulations and track implementation timelines
- Support communications team with press releases and social media content
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on priority policy initiatives
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in accredited bachelor's or master's program (Political Science, Public Policy, or related field)
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases
- Previous internship or coursework in government/policy preferred
- Ability to work 20-30 hours per week during program
