Responsibilities
- Development Support: Assist the engineering team in designing, coding, and testing software applications using modern languages and frameworks.
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Debugging & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve bugs in existing codebases and help maintain system stability.
- Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews to ensure project milestones are met.
- Documentation: Help create technical documentation, API specs, and user guides to support project handover.
- Testing: Write unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability and performance.
- Research: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to team problems.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Web Fundamentals: Understanding of HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
- Tools: Familiarity with Git version control and basic database concepts (SQL).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Availability: Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week and available for occasional onsite meetings in Charlotte.
