Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum architectures with >1000 logical qubits for 2026 deployment
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead fault-tolerance strategies using surface code and lattice surgery techniques
- Collaborate with materials scientists to engineer superconducting qubit substrates
- Create quantum error correction protocols for industrial applications
- Establish quantum security frameworks for post-quantum cryptography
- Mentor quantum engineering teams and publish research in Nature/Science journals
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to implement quantum solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum development toolkits
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and dilution refrigerators
- Strong background in superconducting or trapped-ion technologies
- Track record of securing $1M+ in quantum computing grants
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts to executive stakeholders
