Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting and photonic qubit technologies
- Develop error-correction frameworks achieving >99.9% qubit fidelity by 2026
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Research novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Establish security protocols for quantum-resistant cryptography systems
- Present architecture blueprints to C-suite executives and government stakeholders
- Patent breakthrough quantum computing methodologies and intellectual property
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years designing quantum systems with demonstrated fault-tolerance achievements
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface codes, LDPC)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and classical HPC frameworks
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Experience leading teams with budgets exceeding $10M
- Clearance for government quantum initiatives preferred
