Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography applications
- Develop error-corrected qubit systems using superconducting and photonic architectures
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into functional quantum processors
- Collaborate with AI specialists to create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Author patents and publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding through proposal development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
- Proven track record of securing research grants
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
