Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm research for error correction and optimization problems
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Collaborate with hardware teams to design scalable quantum processors
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD researchers and develop quantum computing curricula
- Develop industry-specific quantum solutions for Fortune 500 clients
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and major conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Proven track record securing government research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience leading technical teams of 5+ researchers
- Knowledge of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant architectures
