Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography, AI, and materials science
- Lead a cross-functional team of quantum physicists, software engineers, and domain experts
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit designs for next-gen processors
- Develop patentable methodologies for error correction and quantum coherence enhancement
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at industry conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through grant proposals and partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing curriculum frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and error correction techniques
- Experience leading teams with demonstrated project delivery in quantum technologies
- Strong background in machine learning and classical computing optimization
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
- Active involvement in quantum research communities (e.g., IEEE Quantum, APS March Meeting)
