Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Advise C-suite on quantum technology roadmap integration
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Track record of securing research funding ($500K+)
- Expertise in quantum machine learning applications
- Clearance for DoD quantum research projects (or ability to obtain)
