Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to advance quantum coherence beyond 1000-qubit thresholds
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum machine learning applications for 2026-era AI systems
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for quantum supremacy initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development with 20+ peer-reviewed publications
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proven track record of quantum error mitigation techniques
- Familiarity with quantum machine learning and variational algorithms
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Strong background in topological quantum computing theories
