Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Conduct experimental research on quantum hardware systems, including superconducting qubits and photonic processors
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance quantum coherence and computational fidelity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum solutions
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from federal agencies and private investors
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to lab's technical roadmap and innovation strategy
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel programming
- Demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
