Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for enterprise-scale optimization problems
- Develop error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware modules
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants annually
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Translate theoretical models into practical industry applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, etc.)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency with quantum simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and complex analysis
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DoE, DARPA)
- Proven track record of translating academic research into commercial products
