Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum advantage in computational chemistry simulations
- Develop error mitigation protocols for noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-enhanced machine learning pipelines
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and gate-level optimization
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing publications
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Demonstrated experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Ability to translate theoretical models into experimental implementations
- Clearance eligibility for DoD quantum security projects preferred
