Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques to enhance quantum circuit reliability
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications in finance and biotech
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Participate in quantum standards development with IEEE and NIST working groups
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRX Quantum)
- Proficiency with high-performance computing clusters and GPU acceleration
- Demonstrated success in translating theoretical models into experimental results
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex probability theory
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration and characterization
