Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at 4K cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to hybridize quantum-classical computing workflows
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in government grants and venture capital for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or other quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (arXiv:quant-ph)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and computational complexity theory
- Experience securing DOE/NIST quantum research grants preferred
- Patents in quantum algorithms or hardware design highly valued
