Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize quantum algorithms for complex computational challenges
- Design and conduct experiments on superconducting and photonic quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with physical implementations
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects to integrate quantum solutions into real-world applications
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies through continuous learning
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or similar)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Expertise in at least one high-level programming language (Python, C++, or Julia)
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Demonstrated ability to work with quantum hardware vendors (IBM, Rigetti, etc.)
- Experience in machine learning and high-performance computing environments
- Passion for solving grand-challenge problems with quantum advantage
