Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography and optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security initiatives
- Develop proprietary quantum simulation frameworks using Python and Qiskit
- Mentor junior researchers and oversee PhD internship programs
- Secure $5M+ in NSF and DARPA grants for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with published Nature/Science papers
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and topological qubit manipulation
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil) and cloud platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
