Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum error correction codes to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional research teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants from NSF/DoE partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum computing architectures
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit simulation tools
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
- Expertise in quantum annealing and superconducting qubit systems
