Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum processors operating at 99.9% fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 100+ qubit stability
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives on quantum machine learning applications
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Q#, Cirq)
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published peer-reviewed research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum circuit simulation (Qiskit, Quil) and hardware control systems
- Proficiency with low-level quantum hardware interfaces and cryogenic systems
- Demonstrated success leading multi-million dollar quantum research projects
- Deep understanding of post-quantum cryptography standards (NIST PQC)
- Strong track record of translating theoretical research into commercial applications
