Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation strategies to enhance quantum gate fidelity
- Lead hardware-software co-design projects with quantum hardware teams
- Drive quantum machine learning frameworks for 2026 applications
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in high-impact journals
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional innovation teams
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from NSF/DoE/DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design using Qiskit/Cirq
- Publication record in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC/Cloud)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and complexity
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
