Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams integrating quantum solutions with classical computing frameworks
- Develop error-correction protocols for practical quantum applications
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Author peer-reviewed publications in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Mentor PhD candidates and build university partnerships
- Translate theoretical research into patentable quantum IP
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum hardware
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and executive audiences
