Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on next-generation hardware platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and error mitigation protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for industrial applications
- Secure external funding through NSF, DoE, and industry partnerships
- Mentor interdisciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants
- Experience mentoring graduate researchers and interns
