Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing research using superconducting qubit platforms
- Develop error mitigation strategies to advance quantum coherence beyond 2026 industry standards
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish breakthrough research in leading peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals for quantum initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information science principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction (arXiv/IEEE/APS)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#) and classical HPC frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and RF control electronics
- Demonstrated ability to secure $500K+ in research funding
- Strong track record of interdisciplinary collaboration across physics, CS, and engineering domains
