Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop advanced error-correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum hardware-software co-design and quantum networking
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical research into practical quantum solutions
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from government agencies and private investors
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for quantum innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed quantum computing research
- Expertise in quantum error correction, quantum algorithms, and quantum hardware systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum simulation tools and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and manage large-scale projects
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
