Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for NISQ-era hardware optimization
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum error correction protocols
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise applications
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature/Science journals and IEEE conferences
- Secure $10M+ in government grants and venture capital for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science at partner institutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with published papers in top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Cirq frameworks
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong background in topological quantum computing and fault-tolerant architectures
