Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for error correction and optimization
- Architect scalable quantum hardware systems with 1000+ qubits
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning models
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish 3+ high-impact papers annually
- Develop patent portfolios for quantum encryption and simulation technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum advantage applications in cryptography
- Security clearance eligibility for government-funded projects
