Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants and patents
- Mentor graduate researchers and industry partners
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware (superconducting/ion trap)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with low-level system optimization
- Experience securing NSF/DOE research grants
