Responsibilities
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum error correction and qubit stability for 2026-scale applications
- Develop novel algorithms leveraging quantum supremacy for optimization problems
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to hybridize quantum-classical computing workflows
- Author peer-reviewed publications and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
- Mentor cross-functional researchers in quantum physics principles
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Participate in global quantum security standardization committees
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave, Rigetti, or IBM Q)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Track record of translating theoretical models into practical implementations
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures
- Experience with cryptographic protocols for post-quantum security
