Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends (AI ethics, quantum computing, climate resilience) to build 5-10 year strategic foresight models
- Lead scenario planning workshops for executive leadership on disruptive technologies
- Architect innovation roadmaps integrating emerging technologies with business objectives
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype future-facing solutions in our innovation labs
- Develop thought leadership content (whitepapers, keynotes) positioning Horizon as a 2026 industry pioneer
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget for strategic pilot programs
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal future intelligence network
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or emerging technology consulting
- Proven track record translating future trends into scalable business solutions
- Expertise in at least two of: AI governance, biotech commercialization, or climate tech
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or MBA from top-tier institution
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFAP) preferred
- Published thought leadership on disruptive technologies
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through ambiguity
- Deep network with futurist communities (e.g., Association of Professional Futurists)
