Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop strategic roadmaps for portfolio companies in AI-driven automation and climate resilience
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford researchers on prototype development for quantum computing applications
- Present findings to C-suite executives and venture capital partners in quarterly innovation forums
- Manage a $5M innovation budget for experimental projects with exponential growth potential
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and systems thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of strategic foresight experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (portfolio required)
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling and visualization skills for complex future scenarios
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed futurism journals
- Experience securing $10M+ in R&D funding from government or private sources
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston)
