Responsibilities
- Architecture Design: Design, develop, and optimize complex database schemas and stored procedures to support high-volume data processing.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize slow queries, implement indexing strategies, and ensure database efficiency under heavy load.
- Data Migration: Lead the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists and software engineers to translate business requirements into technical database solutions.
- Mentorship: Guide junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a SQL Developer or Database Administrator.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, or PL/SQL. Proficiency with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle is required.
- Tools: Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend) and version control (Git).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
