Responsibilities
- Code Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java, Python, or C# under the guidance of senior developers.
- Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.
- Testing & QA: Assist in writing unit tests and integration tests to verify software functionality and catch bugs early.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, API documentation, and design specifications.
- Debugging: Analyze and troubleshoot existing codebases to identify and resolve software defects.
- Research: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and propose improvements to current development processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C++) with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Git/GitHub: Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically about software architecture.
- Availability: Must be available to work part-time (20-30 hours/week) during the Summer/Fall semester.
