Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across 15+ emerging technology domains (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.)
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for market entry and innovation investment
- Deliver executive briefings and scenario planning workshops for board members
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and R&D centers
- Author annual 'Future State' reports influencing $500M+ investment decisions
- Mentor cross-functional teams in futures-thinking methodologies
- Anticipate geopolitical, regulatory, and ethical implications of emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or futures research
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed futurist journals
- Proficiency in trend analysis tools (Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method)
- Experience with C-level stakeholder management and influence
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-strategy implementations
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies and their societal impacts
- Exceptional synthesis skills translating complex data into narratives
