Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and testing IoT sensor systems for precision agriculture
- Collect and analyze soil/water quality data from Central Valley farms
- Support drone-based crop monitoring and imaging projects
- Collaborate on sustainable irrigation optimization algorithms
- Document field observations and create technical reports
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings with engineers and agronomists
- Present findings to leadership bi-weekly
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Agriculture, Engineering, Computer Science, or Environmental Science program
- Basic proficiency in data analysis (Excel, Python, or R)
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to field sites
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with agricultural equipment or drones preferred
- Available for full-time commitment (May-August)
