Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and testing IoT sensors for crop monitoring systems
- Analyze agricultural data using Python and SQL to optimize irrigation schedules
- Support field trials of precision agriculture technologies in Central Valley farms
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype smart farming solutions
- Document research findings and prepare technical reports for stakeholder review
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align project goals
- Present progress updates to senior management bi-weekly
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Agricultural Engineering, or related program
- Basic proficiency in Python, SQL, or data analysis tools
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in field environments under varying weather conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license (for field site visits)
- Availability for 40 hours/week from June-December 2023
