Responsibilities
- Assist in the full software development lifecycle: Participate in coding, testing, debugging, and deployment of high-quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to define features and solve complex technical problems.
- Code Review & Optimization: Review existing codebases to identify improvements, optimize performance, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Technical Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation for code, APIs, and technical specifications to facilitate team communication.
- Conduct Research: Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies, proposing innovative solutions to internal challenges.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: Engage in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to drive project momentum.
Qualifications
- Current Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Academic Standing: A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript). Familiarity with web frameworks (React, Angular) or databases (SQL) is a plus.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability: Must be available for a minimum of 12 weeks during the summer months.
