Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents during night shift operations
- Document security events using ticketing systems (ServiceNow/Jira)
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing simulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security protocols
- Assist in updating security documentation and playbooks
- Participate in weekly threat intelligence briefings
- Maintain compliance with NIST and ISO standards
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) preferred
- Ability to work independently during night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license (for occasional on-call duties)
- Must be eligible for college credit through your institution
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification a plus
